Ludwig & Barbara arrived in the United States on 31 Jan 1855 aboard the Prussian ship, The Arnold Boninger. They sailed from Rotterdam to New York City. Ludwig was 55 and Barbara was 38. In 1860, Ludwig & Barbara lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ludwig was a Miller. The value of his personal estate was 1600. Ludwig died in Riverside Ohio at the age of 73 years and 6 days of Yellow Jaundice. Both Ludwig and Barbara are buried in Spring Grove Cemetery. Barbara was originally buried in section 40, near their oldest son William, but was later moved to section 73.
